Ensure student learning with
Research Based Instructional Practices
DCI districts are assigned to a statewide support team and use staff survey data to identify a ‘practice of focus’ for each school year based on need. Based on the work of educational author and researcher Dr. John Hattie and others, these research based practices include developing assessment capable learners (DACL), data-based decision making (DBDM), metacognition, and others.

Engaging Educators in Powerful
On-Site Coaching & Professional Development
Coaching Support Team (CST) members from RPDC’s across the state work with school leadership to provide on-site training, classroom observations, and coaching throughout the school-year.

Multiple Pathways Toward
The DCI framework builds internal capacity through district leadership team development and provides access to DESE’s Virtual Learning Platform, an online platform that provides evidence based training in an on-line format.
